A Word from Coach Wagner

Dear Gainesville Families and Students,
My name is David Wagner. It is an absolute honor to introduce myself as the new principal of Gainesville High School. I am excited to join a school community known for its tradition of excellence, pride, and commitment to students. It has been very clear for years of being an outsider looking in that this is a place where students are empowered to excel in academics, arts, athletics, and all areas of student life.
To our returning families, welcome back for another great year at GHS. To those joining our school community for the first time, we are excited to welcome you to the Red Elephant Family. I look forward to getting to know our students, staff, families, and community partners as we continue building upon the strong legacy and TRADITIONS that make Gainesville High School so special.
As principal, I believe strong relationships are the foundation of a successful school. By fostering meaningful connections among students, staff, families, and the community, we can create an environment where every student feels supported, valued, and inspired to achieve their best. I am committed to promoting excellence in the classroom, celebrating creativity and achievement in the arts, and supporting the proud athletic traditions that bring our school community together.
I am truly excited about the future of Gainesville High School and look forward to partnering with you for an outstanding year filled with growth, achievement, and Red Elephant pride.
