Happening Now

Wherever your 'there' is, you can get there from here. Since 1892, Gainesville High School has produced leaders and change-makers who have left an indelible impression on our local communities and the national stage. Astronauts, Pulitzer Prize winners, Grammy Award winners, Masters champions, Superbowl winners, presidential speech writers, college presidents and more have walked the hallowed halls of Gainesville. Today, we honor that commitment to excellence. In our expansive, state-of-the-art campus, we educate students hailing from all corners of the world. We offer more than 20 Advanced Placement courses, 17 career and technical pathways, Dual Enrollment opportunities with 5 different local universities and colleges,  and career internships and apprenticeships with over 150 community partners. Our music, theatre, and athletic programs are second to none. In addition to providing our students with the best facilities, we surround them with the best people and commit to building shared experiences that will last a lifetime. With over 60 student clubs and organizations, every student has the opportunity to discover and nurture their talents and passions. The faculty at Gainesville High School is committed to our mission to Inspire, Nurture, Challenge, and Prepare EVERY student. We live and breathe this mission and it's clearly evident in our curriculum, our teaching philosophy, and the services we provide.
