BAND COURSE SEQUENCE
Band 9-10 Band, Spring
Provides opportunities to develop performance skills on a wind or brass instrument. Emphasizes performance and production; may include analysis, historical and cultural influences, improvisation and appreciation of music. Organizes objectives for self-paced progress through all four levels. Stresses individual progress and group experiences.
11 -12 Band, Spring
Enhances level-one skills. Provides opportunities to continue development of performance skills on a wind or brass instrument. Continues emphasis on performance, production, analysis and appreciation of music. Stresses individualized learning and group experiences.
Percussion (Fall or Spring)
Provides opportunities to develop performance skills and precision on a percussion instrument.
Band Woodwinds, Fall
Provides opportunities to continue development of performance skills on a woodwinds instrument.
Band Brass, Fall
Provides opportunities to continue development of performance skills on a brass instrument.
